What better way to put something back into the sport of Judo than by becoming a coach?

The British Judo Association recognises various levels of coaching award:

  • Preliminary Club Coach
  • Club Coach
  • Senior Club Coach

To become a Judo coach at any of these levels, a player must:

  • Have achieved a minimum required Judo grade;
  • Have a sound knowledge of Judo techniques;
  • Hold an appropriate first aid certificate;
  • Be assessed delivering practical coaching sessions;
  • Demonstrate referee skills by a mixture of practical and written tests.
